Default Auxiliary Audio Input Port Noise TSIB Delay

Hey guys, wanted to get a little feedback from the community to see if anyone else has experienced this.

I got a Belkin TuneFlex for Christmas (which is awesome with the iPod Touch, sets it up right next to the nav screen) and when I let my iPod charge while listening, I started hearing the buzz/hum noise coming from the speakers. I remembered reading on here about the TSIB to deal with this, so I took it into the dealer. After a little persuading, I got them to cover it under my extended warranty (I had 51,100 miles, and the TSIB says it's only covered under the standard 50k warranty) but they had to order parts.

My question is, have any of you had this TSIB done, and if so, did you have to wait for the dealer to special order parts? I went in on Dec 31st, and they still don't have parts in (I called last week to check and they told me I'd be getting a call when the parts arrived). I know Lexus is super fast on their parts fulfillment, and even if they don't have a part in the US warehouse, it's only a day or two to get it from Japan. But it's been almost three weeks now, and I have a feeling they didn't even order the parts. (Or they got shipped from Japan via boat.)

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Yes, my dealer actually ordered parts and had me come in. Then realized they needed to order more parts and had me come in again. It is now fixed though.

I have the exact same problem with my iPod and a Kensigton LiquidAux adapter. Can someone point me in the right direction of the TSIB for this?

PS: I'm a new owner and I think this is my 1st post on here, so go easy on me if this was something that is well known to everyone else :-)

I also have a LiquidAux adapter and I'm going to the dealer next week to have the TSIB performed.

I'm finally getting this tomorrow. My last service, they didn't have the part, and said it was backordered for 2 months. I called again, and they must've forgot about my order, as they had to order it again. Came next day though. I'll be glad to get all the extra radio shack filter junk out of the center console.

Haha, I have the exact same Radio Shack junk in my center console also.

I'm beginning to think the Service Adviser doesn't know what he's doing. I went in on 12/31 and he said they ordered the parts. I called back on 1/21, and the parts guy had no record of the order. Called the SA on Wednesday, he said he'd look into it and call me back. Still haven't heard from him. I think my next call is going to be to the Service Manager.

I went through a lot of aftermarket ipod accessories with little luck. Plugging it into the AUX input sucked. Eventually I just broke down and spent the money on an integration kit that I can view folders and control through my nav screen.

I have an 08 also. I get that too. I always thought it had something to do with my aux cable. Does anyone know if the dealership would fix it for the 08 models too?

The problem I had with the Lexus Aux input was that if i plugged my ipod into it....not only did it have feedback/hum but I would have also had to go find a smaller input plug because my console wouldnt close with the plug inserted into the aux input. I think the 400 i spent (give or take a few with installation) was worth it for the integrated nav screen/streering wheel controlled kit by "vaistech" (vaistech.com). WIthout a nav-bypass kit you can still use the steering wheel controls and do certain actions/view certain file info through nav screen. In those regards it's fine without the bypass kit but with the kit it would allow you to have full access to your ipod and control it through touchscreen. Then again, maybe you all dont have nav screens. I dont know.
