is250 AWD tire question
Hey guys,
I got the 06 is250 AWD model
and... I blew out the front left tire and the tire is unfixable.
Since its an AWD, can I just replace the front two, or do I have to replace all of them.
Btw, my car is at 18,000 miles and I'm still running the same ones that came with the car.
thnx.

its best that u replace all but if u want to save money just buy the same tire for the front only. thats what i did but i later upgraded to 19" and waiting for my snow tires to be installed with the stock wheels for the winter.
I just blew out my driver side front the other day, managed to screw up the rim and tire, damn Chicago pot holes.
If you are planning on upgrading the rims in the summer, then just stick one tire on it and be done with it. If you don't then I would just bite the bullet and put two tires, but make sure to get the roadside hazard, cause if they blow out again, the tire place will replace them. Trust me your gonna need it, cause it seems like this is one of the worst years for pot holes in Chicago.

Just replace the 2 front tires and you will be fine. The marginal difference your car is set up to handle
NO mfg would make a car that would be effected by tire wear and damage the car. Sure its best to replace all 4 at the same time but you wont harm the car if you dont
When are you going to bring your car out to one of our local meets??

thanks for all the info guys.
I would go to one of the meets if I had time, but I'm still in college so I'm rarely ever home.
maybe one day.
One last question:
Would these tires be ok for the car? Do the Tire Load and Speed Rating really matter? What the "Z" mean between the 45 and R
Kumho Ecsta ASX
# Size: 225/45ZR17
# Serv. Desc: 94W
I believe "225/45R16 91V" is the stock tire size.
Is it bad that im going from a 91V to a 94W?

Btw those tires are rated above the speed cap on our cars, and the load limit is also higher than our cars recommended load limit so youre all good.
Those tires are awesome, I run the 18" variants on my current car and they do great, as long as you keep it in mind they are high performance all seasons and take it easy in the rain and snow.

I wouldnt mix and match different tire brands...thats just me. stick with the same tire thats going to be on the rear of the car unless you are going for all 4 tires. if you want to burn those first see if you can get a used set in the classified section so you get all 4 at the same time if you are going to another brand/tread pattern tire.
