Default Fix external door strip?

Hi guys,

My car door strip came lose, I think it got drag through the grass when the passenger door was closing. The clip probably broke. Any glue or anything I can use to fix this? Thanks.

just replace the clip. I am sure you can order it from a dealer. Or use 3M double-sided moulding tape.

^ thanks, I'll check out that molding tape. I think that's cheaper than ordering a new strip.

it seem the clip that broke is on the part, the clip that go into the door is still attached and seen in the bottom picture.

I'd replace the whole strip before using tape, especially on a nice car like the GS. Try a junkyard if you don't want to buy new.

I didn't mean replacing the whole moulding, just the broken plastic clip. Shouldn't be that expensive.

The tech manual mentions cutting through double sided tape to remove the part, so I guess they use the tape from the factory as well.

I hope so, a few parts I wouldn't think it's expensive but it was.

Mine is definitely not double sided tape. The bottom pic, you see is a clip expose. But it seem this clip is holding the outside molding only. That clip is hold onto the door metal by a plastic pin. I think that pin is the press in kind. Press in and it stay in.

Here is where those pictures taken, the wheel you see is the front passenger wheel. When the door open the door scraped on the side grass. When the passenger got in, the door get press into the grass and dragged when it close. That's how this thing broke.

Anyway I can prevent this happen in the future beside not park at those location when the side is so high up? At times I have no choice but to park there.

They're the same except for the hybrid.

^ odd... I looked through all of them and the closest match I could find is the hybrid. the rest look like it's for the middle of the door.
