Lexus is not obligated to fix anything they can't observe. If your car doesn't have the noise when they test it, it won't get anything done because nothing is wrong as far as they can tell. A TSIB is NOT a recall, and they have no obligation to fix your car just because it falls inside the specified VIN range.

I would have never taken my car in for the cam drive TSIB if it had not made the noise consistently. It did (twice) and I got it fixed (twice).

LMAO. Well, you just have to be prepared. They will always bait you with a couple of ambigious statements to see how much you know, like for instance...he looked at my ODO and said, "18K, your pads are probably gone".

That's a test to see how I would respond.

Reality: The response is irrelevent, the car is under warranty.

But, just to let him know that I knew he was full of @#$, I said, "I had the pads check, 70% life left on them"....

Always remember that EVERYONE at a stealership makes commission...EVERYONE from the GM down. Service techs are there to "sell" you more service.

I'm not against people making money, I'm against people making money for nothing...
