ok i just got the car back earlier today. i know im kind of picky but here is the situation. i know its small.

ok during the day time when i leave the headlight switch on auto my drl comes on but now that i got my car back, my low beam light stays on constantly. i called the auto repair shop to see if they can take it back and fix it. i have the car with me right now and it wont be goin back until tomorrow morning. i was wondering if this is an easy fix. if it can be fix, please share your advice or suggestion or solution.

i like to leave the switch on auto so i dont have to worry about turning off or on my lights when i enter or exit the car.

What do you constantly?
I dont get the problem. Your DLR always comes on when your driving no matter if u have the headlights off or not.

 

my drls are on when: driving car with light off, with parking lites on. They are off when i turn on the lowbeams.

so what you mean is your car thinks its night all the time? only way I could see the lowbeam's on in daylight when its on auto.

 

i think thats the case but i have no idea. i told the tech and he said that it might have to do something with them takin the headlights out and not resetting them. thats what he said. looks like im takin it back.

 

Maybe the sensor that tells the car to turn on the lights when it is on auto, is blocked some how. Not sure where that is or if we even have one, that's the only thing I can think of.

 

i'll check it out with the tech tomorrow and post updates. hopefully is easily fixed so that if anyone else needs to resolve this kind of issue they will have guidance. thanks for everyones feedback.

 

hmm... in complete sunlight, yur DRLs arent on but instead, its yur lowbeam headlights that are on, in COMPLETE SUNLiGHT? strange... goodluck with that

 

Does your navi also think it's night? In other words, does it show the black background on the maps unless you turn the instrument lights up all the way? If so, make sure the light sensor isn't blocked. If I'm not mistaken, it's on top of the dashboard near the windshield on the passenger side of the vehicle.
