But it did. Automatically turns high beams on and off depending on circumstances I have yet to define. I don't believe it.

Are you talking about the "Intelligent highbeam headlamps"?

IMO, in the city where I live, every corner has the street light/lamp, those illuminants are too bright to triger this intelligent highbean system (to turn on the high beam automatically). My headlamps setting is at AUTO, and push toward to the front. It's never working in the city until I drove it to the countryside roads. Otherwise I'll never dispel my doubts.

I guess that is what it is. I didn't know they existed until I was driving through a dimly lit residential neighborhood last night and they started popping on and off depending on light. Unbelievable. Never saw them in the specs or on the invoice. Totally unexpected.

I didn't order. I just took the first vehicle off the boat after it docked.

art123, you're lucky guy. Lots of ppl cannot get their 450h because their dealers have 0...

Btw, I usually don't leave it on because this makes my turning signals control far away from the steering wheel.

do you find the popping on and off bothersome? in theory it's a great idea to get better visibility. but i'm not sure if i would like it if it pops on/off all the time?
