Default lowered car? bald tires?

to those with a lowered IS, how many miles are you getting out of your tires, since there is no camber kit out yet.

this question will not give you a accurate answer, there are thousands of different tires with different treadwear ratings, so... to ask such a general question you'll get very different responses.

if the alignment is way off it wont matter what tire your running.
im wondering if the alingment on a 2" drop will wear mostly just on the inside of the tire. on my friends dropped chrystler 300 the inside on the front tires are showing wire while the outside have 95-100 tread.

not really.. my friend has an IS250 dropped on Tanabe Coilover...the front is slammed.. perfect.... no uneven threadwear.. well at least it is minimal uneven.. it's not like as if it's a big difference... so long your rims and tires are pretty straight they should be alright ;D

Most of the tire wear is because of too much toe in or toe out. I drove about 10k miles without an alignment done and i don't see a inside tire wear yet. Of course I did an alignment a few months ago just to make sure.

Yes, Toe will wear your tires much much faster than camber will. Get an alignment after you lower it to correct the toe and you shold be good for a decent amount of time.

hmm interesting thanks guys
ISBU, how low is your drop? thats awesome you cant even see any tread wear after 10k miles!

do you think air bags would wear tires faster than coilovers, or springs, do to adjusting the height so often. cause even if you got an alignment at a 2"drop after raising and lowering it, it would be hard to get the car height close to were the alignment was done.

I don't know how many inches my drop is, but the tires are almost tuck in the fender.

I think it would cause u can never be on the same ride height with the air bags.
