Default Next Mod (side mirror)

Hey guys my next mod is the side mirror turn signals it either JDM or OEM (from the 2009 models). My question is for those that have done this mod have you had any problems with the dealership? Am asking because I have problems with my side mirrors not tilting down when in reverse, I already had the driver side replace and the passenger side has been replace twice already. I don't want to do this mod and then later the dealership tells me that the mirror wont tilt down because I added the lights, and they would denied the warranty on it. Plus the dam driver side mirror is crapping on me again...One more thing...has anyone had a problem with the side mirrors crapping out so quick?

I have the JDM LED side mirror covers installed and haven't had any issues with folding mirrors. If you do though and worried they might deny warranty, it's possible to swap back to the stock covers before bringing it in. You'd have wiring left behind, but if you did a good job hiding it in first place, it shouldn't be a problem.

Yes, if you have either the sport or luxury package. You must also select the left or right side mirror on the driver's side control in order for the feature to work.

Damn! I was wondering about that feature on my car and I didn't think I had it. I have both luxury and sport package. I had no idea that the mirror control had to be on either left or right side for it to work I'm gonna have to go and try it out during my lunch hour and see if it works. Thanks Mister T!

The stock 09's mirrors would be ideal. I'm sure it's not going to be plug and play but with a little modification it should work... question is who's going to be first?

To the OP, I suggest you sort out (read really fix the problem) your mirror issues with the dealership BEFORE you attempt to do this mod. If in case those issues come up again after you do the mod, I'm pretty sure the dealership will give you a hard on warranty claims if they find out you did this mod. That said, this mod is very nice. Mister T installed my LED mirror covers (JDM style) yesterday and it looks gorgeous.

just so the new ppl here know: you cant just swap the OEM covers from 06-08 to 09+, you need to buy the 'insides' too and thats whats gonna cost you the money.

Do the mirrors really tilt down? The sales associate never told us this on the 2007 2IS. Will I be able to just bring this up at the dealership and have it covered under warranty?
