if the m3 is in good condition with a good driver... it will be slightly faster by a few milliseconds probably than the IS350 to 60... but in a 1/4 mile is probably a coin toss
im not hatting but i owned a 02 M3 with stock 19's and had about 50k on it and my tire had about 10k which on them so not that much traction left and i ran a 13.5 1/4 bone stock
The M3 really isnt a straight line car... Where it really shines is on a track with turns - lots of them. Race one around a track and Im pretty sure you'll be much further behind compared to the margin you'd beat one in a drag race. I think it's a driver's race in a straight line though with an auto you will run pretty consistently, something a manual or even SMG M3 may not do, depending on the driver of course.
M3 will destroy a IS350 top end, no question. After 110-115 its a wrap...Plus its an overall better car designed around speed, where the IS is based around luxury. Sure its fast, but after 80 it feels like it'll levitate off the ground.

m3 is not built for speed..I raced my friends m3 before. I believe his is 01 or 02 SMG. I beat him from roll and dig.
I have done over 110 MPH+ Feels very stable to me. Don't know what kind of IS you are driving.
I've never lost to an E46 M3, and I've raced lots of them. As previously stated, the 350 wins in a straight line. Introduce turns, however, and its a much different story.

Not a fact. When I raced I was doing 120+ and he still couldn't keep up.
