ML: void warrantee?
HMMMMMMMMMMMM....ARE YOU SERIOUS or just trying to freak me out? i dont think it worth $500.
Anyway, i will bring it in sometimes this week and see what they say.
BTW, how the heck does the warranty works? I mean the dealership perform the service, then they bill the Toyota for reimbursement? If that's the case, then why don't they just honor the warranty if the car is still in the warranty period just becuase it "good customer services". They will get their money eitheir way. The only thing i can think of is that they get to charge the customer more money, where as they have to charge Toyota or any other manufacturer, a lesser amount.

Maybe unhack the Nav unit, and make sure it looks as clean as possible. Then take it in.
If that doesnt work, I have an ML DVD unit that I can sell for $800. (I installed NAV+ML in my cousins car, and he never uses the DVD ability)

the NAV and DVD are seperated units ( someone correct me if i am wrong). So i dont think the DVD changer messed warrant to change the whole NAV/DVD unit. Anyways, if they dont cover it, then i will just have do the trick that most members had done to take out the disc.
This is true, we have members in the Chicagoland area who have screwed their ventilation servo unit for the center vents and/or the actual nav unit itself and you are looking at massive costs to repair. I would avoid this mod if you are not a qualified expert.
You're right. I over estimated. MSRP is $6000. Carson Toyota is selling it for $5000. Plus dealer install, so it will probably get to $6k.
