Wondering if anybody has experienced this peculiar problem with my '08 IS. After opening and closing a few times, the RR window develops a white line about 1/2 inch wide on the inside going up the full length in the middle of the window. I am able to clean it off with Windex but it keeps reappearing. Possibly a roller problem?

 

hmm, are y windows tinted? I have the exact same problem but on the front driver side window. except mine is permanently there. i thought it was a tint issue

 

If it feels greasy then it is possible what you see is "white lithium grease" it is generously used on the window regulator at the factory. Maybe some of it got on the guide track and is leaving some residue on your window..If it is then eventually it will wear off. That's my armchair diagnose

 

No added tint on any of the windows. I may ask the dealer when I bring it in for service soon

 

I used to have that. They're gonna replace the whole track when you get there. Firs they're gonna try to clean it and then next they're gonna replace it so to save yourself a trip try to have them replace it on the first visit.

 

yea me too i guess. It looks like my tint is getting scratched. so idk whats wrong with it. should i bring my car in too or are they going to deny the warranty?
