Default Quick TPMS question

I have a quick question about the TPMS, I was looking at the TPMS unit and noticed there was 2 number. THe one I give to the dealer is the bottom one correct? About to head to the dealer and just want to make sure I give them the correct number. Thanx.

Not sure but write down both numbers just in case. Are you trying to get the sensor programmed to the car? Just so you know, the sonsor has to have pressure behind it for them to be able to program it to the car.

no it doesnt...when I had my second set programmed, I gave them 4 sensors and they did it. They just need to register the 7 digit HEX code into the system.

The dealer also has a tool that can read the 7 digit HEX emitted from a set of wheels without dismounting to read the number.

My friend accidently overwrote my stock wheels when he was doing some TPMS work on my car. He told me to bring it back with stocks and he can use the tool to read the codes and reprogram it.

Just last week I brought 4 sensors to my local Lexus dealership and they tried to program them but couldn't. They said that they would put them in the system and they would not stay because there was no signal.

the tech must not have known what he was doing. I know at least 6 people including myself who just brought the sensors in and registered them. We all got rims later on and used the sensors and it works fine.

The bottom one is correct. It's a seven digit hexadecimal number.
