Hi,

I would suggest going with a 4300k HID kit if you want to match your OEM HID low beams as closely as possible. Your OEM HID low beams also use a 4300k HID bulb. You may find a 5000k HID kit to be too "crisp" in comparison to your OEM HID low beams.

In North America, the IS uses a 9006 bulb for the fog lights meaning that you would need to order a 9006 HID conversion kit.

Hope this helps,

Steve

interesting. shall do my best to contribute. i DID spend almost over a grand on lights

Since many are against halos.... heres an old pic, 6000k d4s bulbs (lowbeams), 6000k 9006 bulbs (fogs)(w/ blue overlays).
Day time pick

Night time pic

But then again... when taken with a camera, camera tends to see the lights as more blue than with our own eyes. They are A LOT whiter than usual!

Hey i have a question also.
Im also looking to get some HID for my baby =]
My car doesnt come stock HID so from what i read from all this and others,
it seem like i need H11, but i also have a friend that said i should be fine with H4.
Is that true? Because H4 is for both hi and low beam soo which is better?
Planning to buy 6000k HID for top and bottom =D

Lexus@17,

That is incorrect. You would need to get an H11 HID conversion kit for your low beams and a 9006 HID kit for your fogs. An H4 bulb is a completely different bulb and it will not fit into your headlights.

I installed my h11 philips xenon depot HIDs yesturday night. Took me forever because I couldnt figure out why the lights werent turning on. I decided to removed the wire harness and it worked without them. I dunno what i can do about it. Everything was wired correctly. but HID > stock halogens.

Hi,

Glad to hear you are happy with the product. If neither side worked with the relay harness there must have been a bad connection somewhere.

Did you install this in IS low beams?

Yes, it was in the low beams. I tried to look for the bad connect somewhere but couldnt find it. I wanna say it might be the connection to the positive but not sure. I was already frustrated trying to find the issue to keep on going. How about a return of a relay for a discount on 3000k HIDs

Unfortunately I cannot take back a harness but I have no problems helping you out with a better price on a kit as a return customer =)
