If you can use it for calling then I don't see why not. Only for headset purposes I'd assume though. The IS doesn't support bluetooth audio or anything like that.

Hmm, tried resetting things and still have people on the other end complain about random words being lost. This is with full ATT signal strength. Think it's the phone or the car's bluetooth connection?

Did you boost your send voice quality in the cars bluetooth service menu?

Yes, the only result is a distorted sound, with occasional words still dropping off.

Really love this I-phone, but am considering returning it (within my first 30 days) Can't imagine what else could be preventing me from getting the same sound quality some of you are getting.

Also, does anyone else hear a slight echo in their car when talking on I-phone in bluetooth?

Have you tried using the bluetooth with a different phone?

With your iPhone, you could restore it or reset it. That might help.

Bluetooth with my Helio Ocean worked just fine.

I switched to an iPhone 3G and now people tell me my voice is cutting out.

Yup, worked fine with my Sony/Ericson W810i.

Not sure I wanna restore the I-phone... but I guess everyone would be there when I synced? Phone numbers and contacts too?

I've had the same problems with my 06 IS250 and 3G iphone. Doesn't seem to be a hardware problem for either phone or car, just a poor bluetooth connection rather than a ATT connection. My previous phone a RAZR was att as well and never had problems with my IS. My guess is that the iphone has a weak bluetooth.

I have an AT&T Blackberry 8310 and I've had it pair with my phone when I've left it indoors and I'm in the garage in the car. Sound quality is excellent. Never had a problem with it nor my previous Samsung.

I have a 3G ...no problems at all...but I do want to turn up the Mic volume.
With the volume set low ...i am forced to speak louder than normal.
