We're not talking about the adhesive double-sided tape that holds the kit to the car, rather the part that fits to the kit at the top to fill in the gap. If it didn't have the piece that we're talking about, there would be a 3/16" gap or so all around where the kit mates to the bumper.

On a side note, the 3m double sided tape that holds the entire kit on does good if you use the adhesive promoter that comes with the kit from 3m (I think they also refer to it as "primer" even though it's not a paint) and press it good under the correct temperatures listed in the instructions and not wash the car for a couple days for it to get good adhesion.

So, does anyone have an idea about the "weather stripping"?

I'd used door molding, it works just as good. I place it on the edge of the lip where it sits against the bumper, hope that help.

I got the 3m(if it is that) weather stripping and made sure it went on, problem is, the sticky was almost completely gone, so we used a 3m adhesive material that looked bomb for a while, but then it started warping, so now the car looks like crap because of it and I need to find more of the weather stripping material, preferably in a roll. Go to Tom's you say? Well, due to more great luck, the tsunami put them out of commission for a while and who knows when that option will be around again. If anyone has an idea where to get the stuff, please let me know. I need this to make the car look complete.
go to a toyota parts counter and get the weather stripping they use for the oem lip kits on their camrys, corollas, and possibly other toyotas. it's very similar and it fits. i got into an accident and i had an extra strip but the body shop lost it or something so they substituted it with the toyota one. you can't really see the difference.

this is what I was able to find online. it looks like the black weather stripping, so if you want the grey one, it'll be a different part number. good luck.

I also have a big gap on my toms rear and it was kinda of hard to get it one there since I didn't have a helper holding the other end. Mine came with weather stripping pre-attached.

The tape it came with was also thinner than the ones in that first pic.

those ones don't help, you need a thicker weather stripping than these, cuz tom's bodykit has such a big gap

I found grey weather stripping for the rear lip off of a camry:

76875-06020 BO

I just ordered it today and hopefully I receive it tomorrow.

+1 I agree!! You def need weather stripping to hide the imperfections. I spent all day trying to figure it out thinking I'm doing something wrong... but it's BAD FITMENT! And the weather stripping does not stick well to the lip! That's why I had to order new weather stripping.

I was thinking about molding it with the rear but it'll cost $$$ and I already cut my bumper to accommodate the dual exhaust. The body shop is going to work with me this week to put on the rear and hopefully it'll look decent and the gap won't be too noticeable.

TOM's you disappoint me. ...I have the 09+ TOM's rear lip btw. I'm thinking I should've went with the GFX rear.

Where's the gap? Fitment looks good for this TOM's '09 rear.

The gap is in the corners:

You can't see it in the photo but that's where my gap is. I've been looking at the photos and the fit looks perfect. The only thing I can think of that's making the gap is that the TOM's rear wraps around this spot on the OEM bumper which might be hindering the corners to be flushed:

I'm thinking of cutting that edge, and hoping that will resolve the gap problem in the corners. The instructions don't say to cut the bumper, even for the quad exhausts. I think the instructions are for the 06-08 rear lip.

I'm thinkin of cutting that part... might as well since I already cut it and it's not fitting correctly. lol If anyone has an 09+ Tom's rear lip installed please chime in!

This is the only picture I can find that shows the underside with the TOM's rear lip. Does it look like the OEM bumper lower corner/sides have been cut? I can't see! lol
