New and need help.
hey guys Im currently driving an 08 honda civic coupe with navigation. After few months driving it, it just doesnt feel like the car for me. The car currently have 14k miles on it.
Im thinking about trading it in for a IS250 manual with or without navi is fine.
Will the dealer give me a good trade in price? and what price to expect for the IS250 manual OTD /w navi or w/o navi. Thanks in advance

from what I have seen your HONDA will have better value then the Lexus will...your car seems to have better demand with MPG in this crazy economy. My friend owns many dealers local to me, Lexus being one of them, and the only dealer that is holding is the HONDA?? Both are great cars and I am sure you are going to loose but is it worth your happiness? You need to decide that not a Lexus biased board
yeah i know Honda Civics are in demand right now due to gas prices. But recently I've just had a kid and need more space. Just wondering what will a nice price be on the IS250
hope it helps
PS: if you are looking for space the IS250 is not for you
My suggestion to you as this is what I just did for my wife. Look at the Acura RDX or the Honda CRV...basically the same all around minus a few things the Acura has. It has enough room for the car seat in the back and enough room for another passenger, kid or adult, to sit comfortably while you still have plenty of storage space in the back. We have had ours for a month or so and its an avg of ~22 mpg. So overall I am very pleased with everything it has to offer. I am parting ways with my IS for this reason. If you have at least one car/suv that will suit these needs it will help out but IMO we dont live in a perfect world so I would rather have 2 vehicles that will better suit these needs and lifestyle changes. If you want to stick to the Lexus brand go drive a used GS 300 or GS 430, 3~4 years old! I looked at a few and they have great space and its and all around nice ride. You can get a good deal and it will run forever if you do simple maintenance on it. There are some for sale from CL members also that you can look at.
PM me if you have any more questions or I can be of help
Mike
I got my 2008 IS250 6MT with AFS and 18" wheels for $31,000 otd. Msrp was $33,xxx.
If youre looking for a 6MT with navi, its most likely going to be a special order. I tried looking for one, but its so damn rare. Plus, with special orders the discounts are not as good.

My friend has a civic and his back seat seems bigger than mine. We both have 2 kids in car seats and his kids seem to have a lot more space. Both of my kids are under 2 and its really cramped in the back. If you decide to sell your civic, do it private party, it should sell pretty quick since they're in high demand right now. My advice to you is keep the civic or look for a bigger car.

thanks guys for all of your replies. And to likwid8 i think you are mentioning the civic sedan if the seats are bigger. And replying to every1 elses response, I really love the design of the IS and current Im still young all i need is a 4 door with easy access to put my kid in the backseat and my wife in the front, that's it no more passenger. The interior isnt that small is it?
