Default help suggest headlight bulb

Guys im lookin to replace my H11-55W bulb. Thats the MAIN low-beam bulb correct?

Im trying to find a good 8000k bulb out there but cant seem to find anything that is high quality and not so expensive. Im lookin to spend no more than 50$ for a set prefferably. Plus shipping, anyone know any links or websites that sell these and are reliable?

I dont want to use ebay..lol.

First of all, 8k is useless. Second, you're not going to find HIDs for less than $50 that are high quality. Especially if you are not looking on ebay.

Are you trying to get a HID bulbs?? Cause running a high wattage bulb is gonna mess your harness up.

www.eautoworks.com has a variety of bulbs and are reasonably priced. keep in mind that any bulbs advertising they are 6 or 8k are going to be a waste of money. they will not look anything like HIDs and will damage your factory harness. i would just save my money and get some HIDs - they will last much longer and i think you will be much happier with the look and performance.

just get a high quality HID conversion kit. that way you'll only spend about $200 bucks once, and the bulbs should last the life of the car, as opposed to buying multiple sets of halogens every time they get dim or go out. you'll also get much better visibility.

"high quality but no more than 50bucks", is that a oxymoron?

first off what does that guy mean 8000k is a joke? anything above that and you look like a tool driving down the road. Like a 15 year old kid who is like OOOOO IS SOO BLUUUU!!!

anyway..

isnt the bulb type : H11- 55W

so if i get a HID bulb of that sort i should be ok? or i will still damage the harness? And what does "harness" mean ... the part that the bulb plugs into?

what about this bulb:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=250106671371

will that **** my **** up or it should be ok?

my car is a LEASE for 24 months so im not looking to do a HID conversion, and i have the HID OPTION on my car so if i wanted to could i still do a HID conversion? what would that do? just change the voltage type that the bulbs take?

any info is appreciated.

thanks guys

what he meant was that a H11 8000k will burn ur harness (basically...ur wires melt) because to get 8000k will require a hell of a lot more power...8000k will be like...160-180W...that almost guarantees problems down the road

ur gonna need a conversion kit for the H11s for 8000k

wait, i'm kinda confused now. do you have HIDs already? if you do, then the bulb size is a D4S, and you wouldn't need a conversion kit, just the bulbs with the color temperature that you want. a conversion kit allows cars equipped with halogen lights to use HID bulbs. you'd also have a hell of a time finding a set of good quality HID bulbs for $50 bucks.

if you have halogens, then yes the bulb type is H11 and should be 55W. since you have only a 24 month lease, you could just spend a bit more and get a good set of bulbs. they should last you until your lease is up. bulbs that are 55W will not melt your harness. just make sure they are actually 55W bulbs.

You have the AFS (adaptive front lighting system) which i do not believe they offer without the Xenon (HID) lights. So your car should be wired to support the HID bulbs.

As for finding them for under 50 bux and have them be quality not really sure where to point you. If it was me personally i would go thru Xenondepot and get a quality bulb that will be warrentied down the road.
