Default city lights?

I want to change my city lights as I don't like the yellow it makes when i have my lights on at night. What kind of bulbs do I need? I was looking over at v-leds.com but wasn"t sure on which bulbs I should get. Any suggestions?

Bulb size is 168 or 194. I have the 27 SMTs paired with 8000K bulbs. I think v-leds only makes an 18 LED one now. I've got no complaints with mine. Some people use Polarg or PIAA so you may want to check them out.

Vs stock bulb for reference:

go with vleds as they are cheaper, the bulb is 194 as stated above. best bang for the buck is 27 led like the one above. i have 19 led blue vleds on mine.

I have polarg's J-01, just the single white LED. It's not that bright but it has a hint of blue and looks much better than stock.

Polarg's (and others) have a variety of 194/168 bulbs, even brighter HID ones that are pricey.

I have the 2 V-LEDS HID WHITE 27 SMT, they are nice but a little to blue for me though but I'm sticking with them.

The question you have to ask yourself is do you want a 'match' or you just want BRIGHT, if you want to match i suggest you go with the 194 5smt *white* from vleds, if you dont care about matching and want something contrasting and BRIGHT go with the 27smt bulb, i myself currently use the 11smt but if anything happens to these bulbs i will go back to the 5smt.

very useful information. I purchased my parking lights plus flank puddle lamps together at vleds. was about $25 shipped.

I opted for the 5 led to match my stock hids like llama mentioned. I will take pics when I get them (should be any day now)

Just so everyone is clear, when i say 'match' its not really a perfect match, the 5smt puts out less light than the higher #smt bulbs, this allows the light from the hids to 'bleed' into the drl/hibeam housing thus giving the appearance of a 'match'. If you use a higher #smt bulb it will of course be brighter and be able to push back any type of 'bleed'. The guys with 27smt will be able to tell you that the parking lite housing is noticeably different than the hid, also due to to the amount of smt in the day you'll be able to see more clearly the yellow reflections in the housing when the lites are off, which i myself dont like.

Help,

I just received my order for the 2 V-LEDS HID WHITE 27 SMT 194 and when installed, the bulbs does not fire up. I tried putting back the oem bulbs and those work. Was I suppose to be getting the 168 bulbs rather then the 194 bulbs. Maybe these 194 27 smt bulbs are defective??

This is the website i ordered it from: http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/P...id/0/SFV/32481

pull the bulbs out and flip them over and try it then. initially one of my LED's didn't fire up but after flipping it, it fired off perfectly!

i have v-leds 5smt white's as suggested by llama. with OEM hid's they're contrasting but running on 6000k lows they blend it quite well
