Default Roll down your windows from outside!!

Sorry if this is nothing new but it is to me and I thought I would share it with those who do not know about it. If it is a repost, I am truly sorry!

I found out that if you press and hold on to the unlock button on your remote key unit for a few seconds, all the windows as well as the sunroof will roll down even if the engine is off!! This is so useful for hot days when you are walking towards your car. I LOVE MY LEXUS!!

Didnt the dealer tell you this when you buy the car?

You cant, youll have to get in the car and close them from the inside.

I loved it when I was discovering new features, even after all the research I did.

I don't use this feature much, but there's no better time than summer to use them!

Too bad they didn't program the windows and sunroof to close by holding down the lock button for a few seconds. That would have been a cool feature.

Another option from getting in the car to close is to use the key. Pop off the little cover on the handle and hold in the lock position and everything closes.

Cool, thanks for the info! I didn't remember seeing that in the manual, although I didn't exactly read it from cover to cover either

It's not that hard. I put my finger on the door under the pop off cover, and use it as a fulcrum. Then I use the key part of our FOB to gently pry off the cover. It pops right off everytime!

Does any one know if the JDM/europe models close windows with the lock button. If I recall correctly the reason they don't all go up with lock is because of safety restrictions in the US. I have a friend who was able to reflash his audi so that on lock all the windows close, but on original settings it wouldn't do that.

Maybe there is a way to reprogram to close?

I didn't know the unlock button did this. Thanks for your wisdom.
