Fogs On Without Headlights
i haven't looked into the wiring yet but all it needs is some rewiring. Basically all you need to do is switch the fog switch with the low beam switch. basically you have to cut wires and switch them with eachother and that's it. BUT there is a problem with doing this: in order to turn on your low beams, you'll have to turn on your fogs. now chances are you drive with your fogs on anyway but the problem is SOME places enforce the "no foglights can be turned on unless there's fog" rule/law. so if you go in there and a cop pulls you over for having fogs on, you're going to have to explain.
i also don't know electrical specs of the IS. with HID's, the IS low beams run at 35W and the fogs run at 55W. I know there's a ballast for the HID but I'm not sure if they bothered to change the wattage of the current too, thus by switching the wires you'll be getting 55W of power into the ballast of the low's and 35W into the fogs.
you can do custom wiring to turn on the fogs manually but that'll require significantly more work than my previous iidea.

I live in an area with the so called no fog lights unless there's fog area. the law is more like this "No foglights unless there's adverse weather." but they don't pull you over for that lame ****. They will pull you over if you have 20% tints or a black car with 35% tints llumar.
Edit- what I wanted to mention tho was that it isn't that easy. I believe technique wanted to look into it but the wiring was a bit complicated or what not. If I could, I'd get wiring for the fog lights totally separate from the rest of the wiring and make it go directly to the 3 button area left of the steering wheel. I forgot which options give you buttons there but I don't have any. just 3 empty slots asking to be filled with :
1. Fog Light Button
2. NOS and
3 Passenger/A-Hole Ejector/remover seat

none is available for the 2nd gen IS's yet... it's wired differently from the 1st gen IS... so if you can find someone to figure out the wiring of the fogs, maybe it's doable. but as of the past 2 years.. no luck

are you going to tell us or keep bragging?
