Tried the DIY with a friend that did window tints. It was a pain in the ***.

Functional, but aesthetically imperfect. I wouldn't do it again.

Let the professionals do it. It looks better, and most installers have warranties that replaces it if it loosens or bubbles prematurely.

^^did you install your red outs?? if so its the same process. same instructions to follow you just have to make sure you keep the other areas we while you place it. once you get it lined up then have your squeegee ready.

I bet you can do it! The mark up on this is HUGE

The IS has the hardest install rating. It is difficult for experienced installers. I recommend don't waste your time and money!

the contour of the hood is almost a definite "fail" for newbies. do it right the first time, have a professional do it for you vs buying one kit, screwing it up, buying another one, and then paying a pro to do it.

here are some examples of a DIY clearbra job gone wrong.

Thats a BIG no no if you dont have experience doing this type of work. I wouldn't risk a DIY on this.

Its worth a shot. Would you rather pay 500+ to get it clear bra by professional or just 150 to do it yourself. I might end up clear bra my front lip myself though.

i did my clear bra and the whole process costed me $40 for the full bra including bumper, hood, and mirrors and another three hours. A heat gun would do wonder with these type of jobs. Of course i did my own tinting on my accord, so i know a little bit about how to do this. It is very easy and you would need a lot of baby soapy water underneat and on top of the bra to make it straight without wrinkles. Oh and i got the clear bra on ebay, with one and a half year and nothing yet. I will post pics of my installation.

if you are not a diy type of guy that really care about your car, i would not attempt this. If diy is your hobbie then give this a shot. I love doing mod to my car, so this is a great big job for me and saved me a lot of $$$ too.

I did my gf's TSX and my TL by myself. It's VERY time consuming if you want to do it right. I'm very **** on details so I took my time. It probably took me 24hrs to do it myself. I did a pretty good job on my on the tsx and spent a lot of time on it. I did an even better job on my TL cuz it was the second time doing it. I just followed the video the installer gave me.

The fender, hood, and mirrors are easy. The bumper is definitely hard. You are going to need another person to help you if it's your first time doing it. The bumper took me 12hrs the first time I did it for the tsx, the second time it took me 6hrs.

I had no prior tinting experience either. I saw a professional tinter did the clear bra for his daught'ers e46 and it had minor gaps that popped up and that collected dirt. So I opted to do it myself rather than paying $800 for someone to install it.

If you have some imperfections on your car, it'll be a little harder to see since your car is a silverish color. I say go for it and do it yourself if you have another car to drive. I didn't drive the cars I did to make sure all the edges of the clear shield were securely on or else they would collect dirt.

Good luck.

yes, i did the hood, fenders, mirrors, and bumper. I took the mirror off because the piece look weird on the mirrors. mirrors are the hardest to do. took my 20 mins each because of the contour and lines and shape that they were in.

The heat gun will help shield your edges or a hair dryer.
