i highly doubt any financing company would let you settle your debt with other forms of debt, but I could be wrong, never tried that before.

and how are point cards gimmicks? you get free stuff, money, etc. for purchasing something that you would've purchased regardless of points or not.

i don't even think you have that credit card option when submitting payments. It doesn't have that option online or on the paper invoice.

you can put a deposit on your cc. I've heard stories where people did it, but if you paid by cc, the dealer would get a 2-3% hit for the fee, so they'd want you to pay a higher purchase price.

The payments i made when i had my camry was done through tfs(toyota financial services). You can set it up to automatically be taken out same time and same date out of your bank acct.

Be careful. Typically when you use those checks you're charged a fee. Usually around 3%. Also, sometimes those checks tap your cash advance limit, which has a higher APR.

No fee, but may accrue interest immediately, rather than 30 day grace.

My wife's sister and her husband pay their mortgage with their American Express Card in order to accumulate Rewards points faster. They've been doing that for over 5 years.
