here's my take on the best credit cards out there (assuming always paying in full):

The Countrywide VISA card gets 2% back on everything, with no limit. The catch is that the cash back has to be deposited to a Countrywide bank account or Countrywide mortgage (so I just opened a small online savings account).

OR

Citi Cards has a promotional 5% cash back for 6 months, but then it's 1% for everything and 2% for gas/groceries... not too bad either...

As far as the convenience checks, don't EVER use them because they accrue high interest instantly.

Couldn't pass it up.

I am using the Citi Driver's Edge Option
3% gas,grocery, & pharmacy
1% on everything else

PLUS

$1 per 100 mile driven on the car you register with them, up the reward you accumulated from spending.

points cards are worthless unless you have the money to pay them off at the end of each month. The APR is usually in the 20% range.
