Default Subwoofer install

I have a 12" IDQ subwoofer & amp I need to have installed in my is350. anyone have any insight as to how difficult this install is, in terms of putting in the power and remote leads, as well as tapping the audio leads from the stock amp?

any DIY or posts i can referenece? i had hard time finding them through search.

thanks ya'll

U don't wanna tap rear speakers leads. You won't get a good signal.

Ive done three ISx50 sub installs now.. Best place to get a signal is to use a LOC and tap into the sub wires off the factory amp (right side of the trunk floor). With teardown, wiring, etc, you're looking at about three hours of work.

how much did you guys pay for your installs, with or without amp kit/rca's, etc? i got quoted ~$200.

on that note, anyone recommend any install shops in the northern Virginia area?

I did the install myself. It was actually the first Sub system I ever did. I followed the DIY. its actually really easy, just takes time and patience.

heres the DIY.https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ftermarket+sub

I originally tapped into the sub lines, but was missing mid-bass. I rewired to the front woofer lines. Sounds great now.
