Question Windshield wipers - is there something wrong?

Ok, I've got an 08' IS350, no auto wipers. This is the first time that I've actually driven in the rain, no this is the first time I've noticed this. With the wipers turned on, normal constant wiping and driving, they work fine. When I come to a stop, they go to intermittent automatically. As soon as I start to drive, they go back to full wiping mode again.

Is this normal?

This is normal, a feature that comes with your car.

The not normal thing is when I change my wiper speed setting and stop the car it doesnt go into intermittent mode anymore! I have to keep changing it back and forth for it to work again, so annoying specially during pouring rain in city driving

this is normal. it's to clear up the "drips" sorta like when the blood drips down the forehead of someone in a horror movie. i think there's an actual spec to this, called drip function or something. of course, owning the car for 2 years, i forget some specs.

if you change the wiper speed by clicking the stick down towards your feet once, itll do the intermittent. twice or three times will not have the intermittent wiping speed when at a stop. you have to actually twist the **** on there after one click for the intermittent effect.

is it still doing it with only one click?

ps. yes its a standard feature

Yes, one click causes it to be intermittent, works as expected. 2 clicks should be constant mode, but when I come to a stop, it goes intermittent. I was afraid my wiper motors were going out or something. However every time I drove off from a stop, they'd start back up like normal.

Very interesting concept these electrical engineers have come up with.

Thanks for the reassurance guys. I feel much better now.
