Default Common Problems with IS250

I was wondering what problems do you IS250 owners come across? Any type of problems owners share. TSB's, RECALLS?

Other than the brake TSB for the 'cleaner' pads, no issues, no problems, and no warranty work on ours.

I had 4 tsib's done on my 250 and have been very happy. One for the dash rattle/popping, one for a noise filter (ipod jack), one fo rthe brake dust and another for a seat squeak. Al issues were corrected and I am a happy camper and really enjoy the car. Below I have posted the respective TSIB codes.

1) Massive Brake Dust on front (due to high friction brake pads) TSIB#
BR002-006
Parts: 473301- F DCS BRK Pad
04465-30400 Pad Kit, Disc Brake

2)-Rattle in center of dash, right behind center channel speaker (popping
noise)
- Rattle on passengers side of dash, right under inspection sticker
Rattles: Performed TSIB #NV003-06. NV50148 06IS250 and IS350
Parts: 08231-00801 Noise Kit
08231-00810 Wind Noise Kit
Labor: Applied TSIB NV003-06 NV5014 A 2.20. Removed instrument panel and
insulated panel clips, HVAC ducts, and defroster nozzle.

3) Whining noise with IPOD connected to 12V port and vehicle driving:
TSIB AU001-07 (basically a in-line noisefilter)

4) Front driver seat squeek below lower cushion:
TSIBNV001-06

There are a few like Brian231 listed but not everyone experiences these. The LEXUS ISx50 is a very reliable car! Of course no car is perfect!!

Are you in the market for one? or do you own an IS250 already?

i also had the inline noise filter for the aux input and brake pads done, but they were personal preferences that were corrected, not problems.

As of now there have been zero rattles, squeaks, or warranty work done.

If a creak, tick, or rattle noise is heard at the top or bottom of the windshield, the source of the noise may be the two windshield stoppers bonded to the top of the windshield or the windshield retainers bonded to the lower edge of the windshield. This bulletin provides the recommended repair procedure to eliminate these types of noises from the windshield area.

NOTE :Some vehicles have both stoppers and retainers while others may only have stoppers at the top of the windshield. Use the chart in this bulletin to determine the location of the windshield holding devices.

Glad this worked for you Joe, I just wish Lexus would have used the correct insulated clips initially at vehicle build. They would have saved themself the warrenty pay to the dealers and aggrevation on the customers part. Members with 2008 are still stating this is an issue. Maybe they changed the design alreay for those vehicles in production.

I have these 2 tsib worked on. I didnt want to have the brakes worked on because i would rather have more braking power and not worry about the brake dust. I wash the car once a week anyways.

I have taken the dash to get worked on. They have refused to fix the problem because my "service manager" deems the roads i drive are not "normal" which inturn causes it to rattle. When my back feels better i think i am gonna work on it myself to see if i can get it to work.

Yes, if the dealer cannot re-create the issue, it can be refused even if a TSIB exists. It is not a recall in a sense required by law, but rather a courtesy adjustment. Most dealers will fix TSIB's if you can convince them of the necessity.

No problems here but I did the brake TSIB. Will probably go back to the original pads when it's time to change. Occasional dash rattle but only on severe harsh road conditions o/w not bothering me.
