Just Installed XM on my 07' now some wierd side effects...?
I finally had the afternoon to attempt the DIY XM Radio install.. I am not very handy when it comes to cars and let me tell you half way through with half my trunk on the sidewalk and all the parts out, things looked pretty scary! but...
I finished in just around 3 hours, but that right trunk panel is still not sitting right, I think because of all the wires, i just couldnt get them back far enough.. anyways LOVE XM, sounds really good! & glad I saved $400+!!
After re-connecting the battery i checked all the systems but my windows are messed up, they wont "auto" up or down. They work fine, but wont automatically shut or open. The lights on the button are flashing.
Does anyone know how to fix this? very strange!

You are going to have to hold each windows button "the individual one for each door" all the way down and hold it for a few seconds, and then raise it back up and hold it for a few seconds. This reprograms the windows and they should work after that.

I assisted my buddy in installing his XM tuner on his car after he couldn't finish the job himself. He had to have the right trunk trim panel replaced. You know what caused it?
HEAT! That right trim panel is molded, and if you leave it out in the sun for an extended period of time, it'll change shape, and you'll notice it won't sit in right. I bet your right trunk tray isn't sitting in right either, is it?

Wow! YES, I live in AZ, and it was 95 degrees yesterday, granted I didnt leave it sit in the sun, but it was on the sidewalk in the shade, but YEP, the right plate, or hard platic peice on the bottom wont sit in there 100% right & I cant figure out why.. Now I know! I thought it was the extra wires pushing it, but i zip tied the wires pretty good.. I am still in amazement that I was able to complete it, I almost gave up half way through!
Luckily not too many people ride in the trunk so I'm not too concerned..
