Here is my quick walk through. Most information that I gathered was found on this forum, but since some ballast were different, I thought i would post some info for people to see.

My kit: Mobilehid 5000k, props to Cliffud for fast response and fast delievery. Kit came with rubber grommet and some194 LED lights.


Here are the pre-install picture with stock halogen light output with regular parking lights:


I will skip some fundamental steps since it has been posted before.

Here is a shot of intake box and intake removed from the passenger side. All you need is to remove the clips, a flat head screw drive for the side panel and a 10mm socket for the intake box. Don't forget to remove the MAF sensor and disconnect any tubes attached to the intake box.


Next is to remove the Washer fluid tank and the piping. Again all you need is to remove the bolt with the 10mm socket which connects the washer to the frame.


Mobilehid ballast was bigger so I had to make some adjustments to the previous HID installation help.

Here is the passenger side ballast installed along with the relay which i taped with electrical tape to prevent any scratchs or water exposure.

On the Driver side, I really couldn't find a good place to put the ballast, I placed it down under and zip tied to original boxes. Here you can see the HID ballast facing outside.

I used a 1 inch drill to drill the dust cover and this is the pre wiring stage.


Closer look of it. Only the passenger side OEM harness had to be plugged into the kit, driver side I snug back into the cover.


Powering on before I put everything back in place. It's the HID with regular stock parking light.

This is a night shot after I changed out the parking light with polarg white light...not bright enough, may have to get some V-LED and reintall.


Line it up against the wall. Looks pretty even.


I am glad I had a friend that helped me out, like many has mention, the engine bay is very tight and some areas are hard to work if you have a bigger size hand. I had to ask for his assistance to place in the driver side lights since it was hard for me to get too.

Hope this helps anyone who also purchased mobilehid's.

Does this kit come with the rubber grommets for each side that cover the 1" holes that need to be drilled into the dust covers?

 

After installing the HID's, I would say that you might need longer extension on cords for wiring fogs.

Not 100% sure though. There are few on forum that has installed the mobilehid fog kit. The wires were perfect length for the head lights, gave just enough room so there wasn't too much congestion.

I like the lights a lot, but I may have to take the housing apart so I can install brighter parking lights XD. Thats the easy part though, takes probably 10mins to remove everything.

 

My came with rubber grommet. Just Pm cliffud and see if he has extras.

The rubber grommet was precut for wires and holds firmly with a 1 inch cut. I didn't bother cutting the back side since the grommer was flexible enough to give me a tight fit.

Thought I elaborate a bit, on the inside of the dust cover, there are rubber linings which would prevent the rubber grommet to fit perfect unless you shave it down. You will see what i am talking about once you take it off. But as I mention before, the fit was tight enough that I didn't worry about it.

I thought there was supposed to be a cutoff (mine does) so that you don't blind oncoming traffic.

 

There is a slight cut off on the last picture if you look at it. Not sure how much the cutoff should be compared to OEM HID.

Overall though, the projector housing worked good with the aftermarket HID kit. Unlike the reflector housing where the light is scattered.

Pictures from another install showed similar cut off so hopefully thats good enough. XD I guess I will find out if I get hunked or flashed

For those who are considering buying a HID, not just mobilehid's but never installed it before, it's not too bad.

I have never done it before, and with DIY's from our forum and some trial and error, its definitely not a difficult job. I asked a friend of mine who installed his to help me out in case I ran into issues.

The only thing is.....better hope you have small hand and wear a glove. Some spots are very tight and hard to get to.
