Default stock bridgestone tire

Hi everyone! Long time reader first time poster. The stock bridgestone tires are actually better than I thought. They may not have the best traction but they sure last for a long time. My tires currently has 52,000 miles on them and probably has another 5-6k left on the front two. I drive around 200 miles a day.

+1 on the potenzas, but mine won't make it past 30K. And I keep the hoonage to a minimum.

I'm pretty sure he has the Bridgestone TURANZA, not the Potenzas. I only got 24k out of my Potenzas.

It's not surprising you are getting such life out of the tires if you are doing 200 miles a day, especially if it's one continuous trip 100 miles each way as opposed to 200 miles stop and go.

You must be getting really good mileage too.

They're Turanzas.... The best MPG I've gotten is 38 according to the monitor.

Put some real tires on when your's wear out. Only then will you understand what you've been missing.

Is this the Turanza ER33 (225/40x18 front and 255/40x18 rear) tires. I have them on my ES250 and they sure ride nice and quiet but I'm a little leery of high performance summer tires (in the wet, snow and ice).

I have RE050A Pole Position on my 350. They're summer tires. I've driven them in rain and snow - no ice because nothing works on ice - and they've been exceptional. In the rain they have 98% of their dry traction (summer means nothing in relation to rain anyway), and they were still sticking very nicely in the snowy slush we got here in Atlanta last month. When Bridgestone says summer, it doesn't mean warm dry pavement only at all.

IMO, the wet traction is lacking. However, this is mostly due to vehicle weight distribution and not the tires.
