Default Louder engine sound at start

Hey guys, is it just me or does our car have a louder engine sound at cold start? My car is parked underground every night (it can still get cold), and when I start it up, it's usally always a lot louder for the first 10 minutes or so. Have you noticed this or is this perfectly normal?

Every single car made is louder upon startup because the engines RPM's are higher when then engine is cold. This is normal.

Normal.

Mine typically revs near 1500 RPM at idle when cold here in SoCal.

Take your time and warm up the car. I usually wait until the engine idles at about 1100 RPM.

I agree with Phillip, I wait till the idle comes down to 1100 here in Siberia, Oh, I mean Chicago winters.
