'06, '07, or '08?
As you have probably guessed by now if you read my other poll/thread, I'm in the market for a new IS. I appreciated y'all's input on the color, and now I'd like your help again on the model year.
Basically, I want to know if you had it all to do over again, which year would you buy, and why? Which year (if any) would you avoid, and why?
For example, you might advise me to steer clear of the 2006 models because they had a particular issue that wasn't corrected until the '07 models, or simply because 2006 was the first model year for the 2IS. Or you might recommend the 2008s because of the improved steering feel.

None of the years had any insurmountable problems. My 2006 has been rock solid, no issues, no rattles. So I'd have no qualms recommending a good 2006 model priced right. And I like the 2006 because it does not have the slavishly copied BMW-like shark fin antenna found on '07's and '08's.
I have the Lexon roof spoiler and it looks MUCH better without the shark fin.....my opinion only.

and as for the op's question it just depends on if you want to be the first one to fart in your new car...or be the second one to fart in a used one. 
btw for the ops question, I would probably go for 07 or 08.

'08 or brand new back model '07. You don't know how the previous owner abused the car. Buy a used car only if you knew the car was well maintained and you trust the previous owner. Record of maintenance means nothing if the previous owner abused the car. My 2 cents.
