Okay, now if you put something in that cup, isn't that going to rattle and cause more noises... noises that you originally wanted to remove?
I guess you can line it with felt?

I lined the bottom of the center console cup area with felt. Works like a charm and i'm sure would work just as well in this "secret" area.

haha swt. there is another one in the arm rest you can use. the one to access the bolts to remove the arm rest and aux input
