That is a great idea, but I think the grill may block the signal. Try it out and PM me and let me know if it worked.
If it doesnt block it on the ML system then why would it now? Unless the ML system has a different screen, which would be easy to buy. I just hope the factory radio unit has enough channels to accomodate it, I am not sure if it will because it was not designed to have to do taht. I guess there are probably ways around this though taht I do not know about.
Don't think an air freshener would do any good because my cover blocks all the air from passing through ... I thought it was meshed with holes in it, but it turns out its just a cover that looks like a mesh...

LOL just find a 6x9 spkr grill and cut it to fit yourself, piece of cake Nothing more custom than fab'g mods yourself
