recommended PSI is on the inside of the door. don't remember them off the top of my head.
My mileage has dipped 10% or so given our new near-freezing temps (I swear I live in so cal).

Yea. There are technical words and reasons why this does happen due to the weather. Something about it will just take up more gas to make the engine warmer and at optimal temp.(Not exact words, but you should get the pictureOriginally Posted by aznpapaya

)I've had my IS since late 2005, so I've been through multiple seasonal changes. Gas mileage always dips in the winter months and comes back in the spring due primarily to colder temperatures, but also to the winter fuel blend. The best strategy I've found to combat the bad mileage is to minimize short trips with a cold engine. In order to reduce pollutants, these engines positively guzzle fuel until the engine temperature comes up.

^yup yup.
2-3 psi over what the door says will be good too. This is how I keep my tires over 42k and running

Do you do a lot of city driving now? None the less tire pressure plays a huge part in your mileage and I noticed not taking the car past like...3500 rpm on a tank or two will make your mileage go up, i went from 260 to 340 in 2-3 tanks =)

Tire pressure, colder fuel (doesn't atomize as well as when it's warmer), winter blend gasoline, and increased consumption before the engine reaches nominal operating temps are the main culprits.
I notice about a ~3 mpg delta between summer and winter.

When do the tire pressure light come on? Because i always thought it was ok till the light coms on, my PSI is 30 and there was no light so i thought it was good.
