Gas Tank Pressure
Lately, when removing the gas cap, there is a LOT of pressure build up in the gas tank.
There has always been some pressure, but this seems much more than normal.
Time for a new gas cap? or is there something else.
I took the cap apart and all seems to be in working order? Not sure how excess pressure is supposed to bleed off and this just doesn't seem normal.

To expand on what Earl said, Warmer weather = more expansion of gas vapors in your tank = harder pressure when you unscrew the cap in warmer weather.
It is also why it is better to buy gas in the early morning. As the day gets warmer, the gas becomes less dense as it is composed of more vapor coming out of the nozzle.

Also to expand on what GA said it is also cheaper to by gas in the morning or when the weather is cooler since gas is sold by weight
Also, make sure not to remove the cap when you have just filled up. All that pressure will send gas shooting out of the tank like a hot spring in arkansas!
