Awkward noise coming from engine

I read a thread about a clank noise that some people heard when they started their 2IS. That isnt the problem with my car. It sounds like a loud ticking sound. I first thought it might be the fuel injectors and when i took it to lexus, they said the same thing. Couple of my friends noticed the same sound and said that there was something wrong for sure. I took off my intake to make sure that that wasnt the noise and sure enough, it wasnt. My next guess is that it might be the rocker arms...Does anyone else have the same problem?? Is this normal?

Definetly normal my 06 IS 250 did it and so does my 08 350

I once had this noise (if i can still recall it to be the same noise) but felt it was dur to the thin oil i had used (0-30w). Switch back to 10-30w and it seems to be better...

no thats not it. Its a loud ticking. I can hear the fuel injectors, but there is also another sound. I have it schedueled to go into the dealership next monday. Hopefully they will take car of it.

I dont know if this is the right way to compare it, but my car almost sounds like a diesel car running

i only hear it when im going through a drive thru...due to the noise bouncing off the walls of the building...as soon as i get the vehicle away from the building the ticking goes away
