Good question. I was going to ask the same thing. Can we get away with just 2 sensors instead of 4?

I think you win the CL "McGyver" award for 2008.

I was thinking of doing that but instead just program 1 sensor and if that doesn't work program the 1 sensor on all 4. I'll try that on Monday if I have time and I let you guys know. That way you don't have to buy 4 sensors.

It does work but getting some problems. I had to add more zip ties to keep the pressure on the sensor. I think the most reliable way is to do the pipe bomb or put the sensors in your spare tires.

how tight do the zip ties have to be? and if it's too tight, does it make the lights go on again?

another option I don't see alot of is actually "banding" the sensors back into the new aftermarket wheels. that way they actually work, and let you know if your tire is low.

"banding" might be a bit too risky. If they shift they will throw the wheel out of balance. if they fall of, then your sensor's probably gonna be trashed.

It works, I zip tie mine.

I used 3 zip ties, two to tie TPMS together, and one orthogonal to the other 2 to hold the 2 zip ties in place. The light came on about 2 weeks after the first time I had it, I tightened it, and it came on again after 2 weeks, I tightened it a lot, now it haven't come back on for months.
