Damn hurts to see those pics. Especially since I have the same color. At least no one was seriously hurt.

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes.

It was in Houston, just off of I-10 near downtown.

I've tried kicking and screaming then begging and pleading with the body shop and my insurance, but they still say it is repairable. I know totaling out a car is always on a case by case basis, but when it gets over 1/2 the value and frame damage I just expected it to be.

Anyone know what else I can do? As much as I loved that car I really don't want it back now, it just won't be the same. The Lexus safety did earn some big points for me, it could have easily been pretty bad.

Doesn't TX also allow you to seek compensation for the loss in residual value? This would probably put it well past totalled.

I hope they don't just repair body work. Seems like they should replace some suspension as well.

Try to go for diminished value and sell the car.

Glad everyone made it, the car did it's job. Nice job Lexus. Spend some time in the hoky for the girl-well deserved. We now know why her license was suspended-SHE CANT DRIVE!
