It varies from shop to shop. The place that tinted my does showcars and sponsorships, etc. On the receipt it said "Not Street Legal" and then underneath it said "Lifetime Warranty".

So in essence, they covered their ***.

heres mine, 3M 50% all the way around. but havent done the windshield yet. we stock ceramic too, but i think the 3M carbon has a nicer color. you can see its very light, but 3M 50% is pretty dark compared to other brands of 50%. i may go with llumar 50%

i agree to tinting the windshield on my previous car and current car i had my windshield tinted. never had any problems with it...even when i got pulled over for my front tint the cop didn't notice my windshield was tinted. if you want to just block heat and UV you can use v-kool 70% tint. it's very light and you can barely notice it's there. i've had 50% on my old car windshield and 70% on my current car windshield and the 70% v-kool blocks out a lot more heat plus is lighter. a tint job is never complete until you do the windshield too since that's the biggest piece of glass and most heat comes from. but yea it definitely helps and i've never had a problem seeing out at night either.
