hi everyone,

i've got a new weird issue. there is a squeaking sound coming from the plastic piece under the steering column. this is the entire plastic panel that is in between the steering column and the knee air bag panel. when its cold, i get this loud squeak/rattle coming from the left side of that panel near the gap between the panel and the steering column. if i press it, it sounds exactly like something rubbing against styrofoam. does anyone know how to remove that panel? is it easy to remove? if its just a simple 10 minute job i don't really want to go through the hassle of taking it in to the dealer. any help/comments/consolation would be appreciated

im hearing all kinds of rattles in the cold weather.

 

i've got a ton also. they're all relatively quiet, except for this one. it bugs me when i can hear it rattling/buzzing over the sound of the stereo and the road noise from the tires combined.
