Default OMG, i need some serious help! >.<

So I just got my Fastrak (transponders to cross bridges) and was looking on this forum to see where everyone else was putting it.

A few geniuses thought the sun/moonroof was a good place to put it so I took their ****in' advise and tried it. Next thing I know, it got ****in' stuck and it's not behind the moonroof. Omfg! I'm such a ****in' genius!

I tried fishing it out w/ a coat hanger, no luck (in the dark). I tried going down a really steep hill and braking real hard, no luck. I tried tapping on the roof lining, no luck.

Because the sunshade has a small hump at the far end of it, I can't really see it, but I can estimate where it is by tapping on the lining.

Argh

The semi-good news is, it's not fully stuck and can still cross the bridge (I think).

Please, i need some help in getting it back ><

haha, I'm sorry I can't help but laugh at the way you described your situation.

The headliner is all held in with clips, either start at the back of the sunroof and pop off a few clips. Or work the fasttrack pass to one side of the roof, and then open the door and pry the headliner open from there and fish it out.

Goodluck

What was wrong with just putting it behind the rear view? I can't even see mine there.

What if you tried using a magnet to fish it out? Saw it once on an episode of Spongebob Squarepants! Try it...it just might work!

Note--going OT for a moment.

Why's a 99 TL THUMBS UP, but the '03 TL-S with more power, etc. is THUMBS DOWN?

sorry for the off topic answer...

i had several trans problems. i believe they had replaced the trans 7 times in that car. big problem with the TL and has been since that year. i was given a credit when i leased my next TL from Acura with out asking. that one made it to 7k miles and had the trans replaced. they didnt change the trans they added a few fix it things that didnt fix it. Acura knows of the problem...the TL was a very nice car and the quality went down hill and i lease my cars for all of about 2 years and trade them in. hope that answers your question!

Ya, i've read those. I initially wanted to rubber band it to the sun visor. God, i can't believe I did that -_-; I heard it moving it around while I was driving to work today, zzzz.

Can anyone give me some step-by-step instructions as to removing the headliner? I'm afraid I might break something. My car is only 1 week old.

It's not fully stuck, it's shifting around.

If you tilt your glassroof and look inside, you'll notice the sunshade has a hump. My transponder is basically stuck behind that. I can hear it hitting the sunshade bouncing around.

I can't help but laugh either.. LMAO. You probably took my advise on the moonroof/sunroof idea. But actually where I put it was perfect and still yet no problem. You probably put it on the glass itself. Which probably melted whatever you use to stick it up there. Find some good double sided tape like 3m and put it on the sunroof cover and not the glass..
