Default AWD traction control button???

I have an 06 Is250 AWD and its impossible to shut off the traction control because its lacking the button. I just found an 07 Is250AWD on ebay and it has a traction control button. Whats the deal? can i add this feature????

You can add that feature if you trade up for an '07 or '08.

pedal dance to shut it off, search for it on here. on the 07's plus that same button is used but u hold it down for 10 seconds and it shuts off traction control and VSC completely and remain off.

the tcs button shown, on the 06's if u press it, it will only shut off the traction control for the first 20 mph then it will kick back on. to shut off the VSC (Vdim in the 350's) and the TCS completely the thing known as the medal dance must be performed and those systems will stay off until you shut off the car. search it has been discussed.

on 07+ the TCS button when pressed once will shut off the TCS for the first 20mph and then revert back to it being on. now if you where to press and hold the button for more then ten seconds the TCS and VSC( Vdim for 350) lights will come on, disabling both systems. they will only turn back on when u press the button again

Lexus for the 07 added the feature of holding down the button to turn off completely the VSC and TCS instead of doing the pedal dance.

that is the difference

you don't need the traction control button, if u actually want to turn off your traction control fully do this. i hope this helps. enjoy.

07-08 have the button. 06 does not. I don't know how you would "add" it. it's not an option.
