Default '06 With Traction Control?

I feel retarded for not noticing this the other day haha

I always here everyone talking about the "pedal dance" and all that kinda stuff for the 06 models... but I just recently found a traction control OFF button haha...

Is this part of a package or sumthin?

Plus the button only works when Im going under 30mph

All the 2IS have that button. On the 06, you need to do the pedal dance, or else the vsc turns on again after 30 mph like you stated

If you have the button, are you sure yours is a 06?

RWD 06's have the traction off button (AWD 06 models do not). If you press it, it will turn off traction control, but leave VSC on. Once your speed increases, traction will turn itself back on. If you do the "pedal dance" you can turn traction and VSC off, and it will not re-enable itself.

On 07+ models they have a traction/VSC off button, press and releasing the button does the same thing as the 06 RWD models, but you can press and hold it for 3 seconds to fully disable traction and VSC (same as the "pedal dance" on 06 models).

I just bought a 2006 IS350 and it has the button. But it does turn back on. So someone explain how to do the "pedal dance" so I can figure out how to turn it off.

^ just google "2006 is350 pedal dance", and a thread from cl will show up. Once you've got the hang of it, it only takes a few seconds

Until you turn the car off and back on.

Note that the down side of doing the peddle dance (turning off traction and VSC) is that it disables the eLSD, which sucks. Not sure why they didn't put a real LSD in to their sports sedan, grrrr.

Correct, anything you do related to this, pushing the button, pushing and holding, pedal dance is all reset when you turn the car off.

pedal dance is sick. I love doing it. Reminds me of the konami code, except for my car.
