Yeah, I'm pretty happy I got my 08 early enough to get the cashmere carpet... makes my car even more unique, it'll likely be the only 08 in the world with this configuration Like I said in the other thread, I've had my car 3 weeks so far and my carpet is still perfectly clean, I'm just careful not to have crap on my shoes before I get in...

I guess it's a nice improvement for the folks who wanted the black carpet w/cashmere seats, but it would've been nice if they'd just made it an option instead of required for everyone... I guess it's cheaper this way for Lexus though.

yea but i wanna see wat it looks like for us with all beige, if we swap out our foot mats for darker ones, the ones from lexus have the black carpet that goes upalong side the console, ours are beige or cashmere as they call it.
I think it will provide a nice contrast.
Called up lexus here in the UAE : 3200dhs ( almost $1000) godddddddddddddddamn
time for some TOMS

Can't go by this--that leather's not even perforated. You know how many inaccuracies there are on the site, especially the pix? BucBaby provided a picture of his car. What evidence is more accurate than that?

That's true. Fotaman provided a picture of his car. I don't have mine yet. Mine isn't going to be perforated either.

Trust me, when I finally get my car, you're going to see a picture!!! I think that we should have a cyber party when it happens!!! About a year ago we built a pool. On one of the pool web sites, we celebrated the opening of a pool together with something called a Turborita. What's the official celebration drink here??? I think we should have cyber toast across the nation!!!!! As we get closer, I'll send out an invitation.

PS-Bucbaby is a she. I got this name about 10 years ago when I frequented the Buccaneer website. By the way, the game yesterday was exciting...then sooooo disappointing. We had fun though.

BucBaby ..... you are a real trooper through all of this. for sticking with Lexus after dealing with the nincompoops at your Lexus dealer. We will definitely want to see pics when BucBaby's Baby arrives.

Hey Everyone,

I went with the Cashmere and with the help of some Clear Lexus Mats ($78.50 - 00041-ISXCLEAR - http://www.lexus-parts.com/parts_det...id=90119&all=Y) I'm pretty happy with the light interior. I've also bought the black mats, but for some reason the cashmere brightens it up more - just my preference

Here are a couple of pics with the perforated leather and the clear mats down. I've only had it a couple of weeks with NO spills of my morning coffee in my adult sippee cup! My thoughts may change, but for now, just grab a paper towel, wipe - done deal!

The lighter carpets make the car more elegant . . . beautiful. If I end up with cashmere carpets, I'll hit it real hard with scotchguard and probably get those clear mats for summer use. I've got the all-weather mats coming with my special order. Thanks for the quality pics.

i definitely think the light carpet and clear mats are the way to go. the IS looks great with cashmere because it starts black on top and cashmere on bottom with a nice wood/silver trim in between. that flow is ruined by black carpet.

Well, that isn't a choice now. Looking at both, I think that I like the black carpet better after all. I chose it for practical reasons, and now I"m happy because I really like it.

I think we're going to have to do something about the door sills, though. Everytime I see a cashmere one, there's at least a little dirt showing on it. Black might be the way to go.

heh... so far the only places on my interior (cashmere/cashmere) that are showing dirty at all are the -black- parts of the door... seems like any time anyone touched em they got this almost slight chalky appearance where they touched... it'd wipe off, but annoying... after the first week of owning it I just learned not to touch that part of the door, dunno if it stops happening when the 'new' wears off or whatever though.

In my honest opinion... I think this combo looks much better & Great!!!

Now if they could have just given us the option to have the Black Head Liner and Black pillar pieces just like the IS-F...
I would have been even happier!!!

The light gray is just ok.....

Because your car was still made in 2007. I think the plan was made for the ISx50 for those will be made in 2008

Post#27 is a picture of a 2008 ISx50 with Cashmere & Black produced in 2007

"sw1ft" you probably have a car part of Aug/Sept production run, which was still all Cashmere.

I'm glad that I purchased the full cashmere. I for one don't care for the dark carpet as it makes the car seem smaller, more claustrophobic. Like "Vapors1", I also have a clear mat, but half the size that he has. It works like a charm while maintaining the elegant "full" cashmere look.
