I absolutely love 2JZ engines but I hate them being used for drifting. Drifting to me is like JDM Nascar. Lets see about going down a track the most inefficient ways. Yeah, Sideways. While I admire the hard work that went into making that vehicle. It totally makes me puke to see it being used for a worthless cause.
The E20 chassis is more agile than the E10 chassis and could benefit from a power powerplant like the 2JZ. However, it willhave drawbacks like the forward bias engine weight from the cast iron block and the snappy power delivery from the 600+hp turbocharger under the hood not to mention its absolutely incompatible with the electronics of the E20 chassis.

If thats what you think drifting is about then you have no idea what drifting is, your ignorance shows and i am embarrassed for you. Plz google or wiki it.Originally Posted by carchitect

Who cares what you call it or what you think it is. The 'activity' in the videos is still a waste of just about everything...but thats my opinion. And you know what they say about opinionsOriginally Posted by llamaboiz

yeah but i think that takes away a little bit from his ignorance no?
just that drifting isnt about how fast u make it around the track..

So i know theres another thread about that falken IS, but i didn't see any one mention how difficult it was to actually swap the 2JZ and if anyone else has been able to do it? how much would a project like that cost?
and did the development of that car yield any go fast parts for the 2GR? I saw something about a new manifold?
PS. that car is sick, even if its 'only' drifting. Drifting is an incredible test of car control and driver skill. Going fast around a track is one way of showing skill and car's performance, drifting is a different way. I dig both!
