well written review
It is a PITA to register and download a big PDF file (the IS350 review is 4 of 68 pages in the mag), but the review is nicely written, clearly based on driving experience well beyond any Taste of Lexus event, and balanced, including complaints (esp. no MT, but not about VDIM) and pros and cons vs. the 330i and the MB C 350. Ultimately the review is very favorable to the IS -- among other things, the reviewer concluded that he was more "engaged" by the handling of the IS350 than either of the two German cars.
All-in-all, a good read. Thanks for the link.

Winding road really is an enjoyable read, you should all sign up.
I've been reading this for a few months now, and have to say they write great articles from a true enthusiast's perspective. They are also not bashful about pointing out flaws and comparing vehicles to their direct competition.
Reading their IS review has certainly whet my appetite for my test drive on my 350 next week. Now if only they would tell us how much these damn cars are going to cost.
Over at my.is someone who works at a dealership (and just received their first car on the lot) just posted that their regional rep just gave them a price of 37K for an IS250awd and 39K for a loaded awd. that is certainly not encouraging.

Oh, I agree

I'm really starting to feel like all Lexus folks are intentional quoting higher prices for these cars, so that we get a pleasant surprise when they officially release pricing next week. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it. Until next week that is.

I reactivated the traction control?
Finally read the article by Dave Kelley in Winding Road.
I don't understand his statement on page 34 which reads in part. . . "I reactivated the traction control and put the gas pedal firmly to the floor".
Did he drive the same car we are talking about? Now if he had said he reactivated the traction control while drive a S60R then I'd understand.
