I'm sure that this has been asked a million times, but I've been unable to find the answer by using the search function.

I'm looking at getting a set of winter wheels and tires for my IS350. If I don't get the TPMS sensors, what exactly happens? I know that there's a dash light -- but is there also a warning chime?

Also, does the dash light flash continously, or does it just stay on as a solid light?

I can live with a solid light, but a constant flashing or a chime would make me lean towards spending the extra $$ on the TPMS.

It's just a solid light, mine was on for at least 3 months and it didnt bother me. I am going to fix it now though. Your computer screen will say "Check System" or "Low Tire".

 

A little off topic but did 2006 IS with Premium Package only have TPMS?

 

Shouldnt all 2IS have one?

 

That I am not sure of as I assumed they only come in Lux or Sport package only. I might be wrong though...

 

All 2IS have TPMS standard.

 

I need to purchase a second set of sensors. Can somebody point me to which tire pressure sensors go with my car. I have a pre April '06 IS350.

 

And btw, you cannot get rid of tpms w/o putting all 4 sensors in a wheelbarrow tire, pumping that tire to 30psi and putting it in the trunk.

I have the light on for over a year, dont bother me anymore.
