The bad thing if they scratch my volks it will be another 3 months before they can be replaced.
I actually did walk around the car but I wasnt paying attention to everything, I was mainly looking for any dents that might have occured when they test drove it. I didnt think something like that would happen. The fact that the lip is chrome made it hard to see.

What are you talking about, do you really think a rock would do that kind of damage? It's frickin obvious that something dropped on the rim. I didn't drive my car the whole 1-1/2 weeks after service because I had 5 others car to pick from that week. Meaning, my car was clean and did not need washing. And only when I wash is when I can notice new damages (dings, etc) on my car.

I had the Toyota dealership Maul my rims 2 times, and I can tell you that if the machine did it it would be against the very lip of the rim, and in most cases will take the metal off.

I hope they set you straight, sorry to see they mishandled your car.

BTW these were OEM rims, but they replaced both of them and the third time I just took it Lexus to install. I wonder if you would have noticed it sooner if they would have replaced the rim.

I told the Toyota dealership fixing the wheel was not an option and replacing it would be the only thing I would agree to. The dealership gave no warming about damages done to tires and wheels. Some mechanics have that in their fine print so be careful.

I didn't say a rock, I said "road debris" meaning anyhing could have caused that damage. It's awfully convienient to blame the only other people who had possesion of your car for minor damage. I've had similar damage to wheels before that I can only chalk up to "road debris" because no one but me drives or works on my cars.

A lot of the people in the thread said something dropped on it. The SA and the manager talked about the same thing happening before. So...
I know for sure I didn't hit anything. The drive back from the dealership to my house is only about 3 miles.
