They do great work.

seriously, your damage is the most minor i bet they will have seen all year. I was skeptical when I first took my wheel there, but after seeing what they do, i no longer have doubt. They fix it in 1 day too.
Good to hear *sigh of relief*. Hehe I dont know why you would think I am in Hawaii, I live in Southern California. I dont know who Lexus will send me, he just told me "rim repair guy".

fixrim does a lot of dealers and also discount tire contracts. I bet they take it there, but you can ask them to.

I don't know for some reason I thought you lived in Hawaii.

Wow, I was unaware that things like that could be fixed. Makes me feel a little better. I am always paranoid of scuffing my rims.

Does anyone know how they would fix a damage on a polished lip?

I took my car back to the dealership today because of some rattle (including the TSIB mirror) and the repair guy went there to check it out. My SA later left a message saying that the guy said it could not be repaired and he will have to talk to the manager (he wasnt in today).

If they will buy me a new rim that would be great, or else I should tell them that I will go out and find my own repair (fixrim.com) and tell them to reimburse me?

I would see if they can give you the money up front. give them option.

1. they buy you a new rim. This is more expensive for them, but yet you are 100% happy because you know everything is good.

2. you find a repair place that will do the job. fixrim.com can do a polished lip because mine was polished. it was fixed perfect too.

The 2nd option is cheaper for them, and work on your part. I would be compensated not only the 150.00 fix rim charges, but also for your hassle of having to lug your wheel over there, wait 24hrs for it and then going back to pick it up.

Let us know what you do. I wish all dealerships were like Sewell of dallas. They are really good to their customers. Doesn't sound like you are getting jerked around yet, but you need to make sure that they don't start to.

good luck

What happened to your polished rims combfilter? At least its only 16 miles away from me.

I see two choices/prices
Aluminum Wheel Repair from $129.00
Chrome Wheel Repair & Rechrome * $250.00+
I dont see $150 or polished.

oh, to avoid door dings I park as far away as possible, and this time I was trying to edge up as close as I could to the curb. Well, it was on the passenger side and I pulled a little too close.

and Here's a pic of when I first got them so you can see that "yes i have a polished lip"

Here's a link to who has my wheels now. It was the right front one that was repaired, but you cannot tell one bit. Trust me the guy that bought them from me is as picky as i am about his car.

Here browse these pics. http://s125.photobucket.com/albums/p...olexus/utabig/

Doesn't matter if it polished or not, you pay the flat aluminum fee..

this may be a dumb question, but why is my polished lip look more like chrome (it has a mirror finish). From that picture, it looks like your polished is more of a brushed aluminum, or was it just dirty?

what kind of rims do you have? if they are polished, then they are polished. My 2nd pic is of the rear rim and it was semi dirty.

Whoa I thought I had polished lip, I just checked the site and it says chromed lips. I guess the repair is going to cost more than $250? Shouldn't the chrome chip/flake off?

Aux is for the whining sound you hear when you charge your ipod and play at the same time.
Rearview mirror is for the excessive vibrating rearview mirror.
