i dropped my car off yesterday at 11am. it was done 11am the next day!!!

thought i'd share since lots of people were not able to resolve this issue at their local dealers.

here are the notes:

5271 excessive movement at crashpad interior 550991 5.60 road test vehicle->at times, rattle type sound heard at center of dash area creek type sound heard at left side / glove box area remove center console and glove box, road test remove crash pad for inspection: insulate electrical connector pigtails insulate vent duct to side vent insulate heater box to center vent duct stabilize crash pad mounting ears to vehicle sheet metal

materials required:
08231-00801 noise kit (n/c)

I would do this, but i worry so much about them taking apart my dash, ugh...

 

i got my service done at Lexus of Serramonte.
no regrets. ill get to drive my car again tomorrow. so we'll see!

 

I agree. When one rattle dies, 4 more come to its funeral.

 

so far so good, nobody came to its funeral =)

 

Just remember, Lexus loves those of you that "just live with" problems and defects.
